Getting the Most out of Your Online Casino Bonuses

There is a lot to know about online casino bonuses before you start gambling with them (no pun intended.)  Basically, if you know the “fine print” then you’ll be set with no future surprises down the line.

The first thing to know about is sticky bonuses versus non-sticky bonuses.  Sticky bonuses can’t be withdrawn when you try to cashout your winnings while non-sticky bonuses can be.  Just because a certain online casino offers a sticky bonus for it’s first deposit bonus (for example) it doesn’t mean that all the bonuses you could get from that casino would be sticky.  It’s important to know what to ask before accepting each and every bonus in order to maximize them.   For example, if you deposited $100 and received a $100 bonus and you now have $200 in your bankroll, if means that if you play and win an additional $300 and your bankroll total is now $500, you’ll only be able to cashout with $400.  This brings me to my next order of business…

For the majority of online casino sites, you play first with your deposit and then if your deposit runs out, only then do you start playing with the bonus money.  For example, if you receive 100% up to $100 on your first deposit and you deposited $100 your bankroll will now say $200.  If you start playing and you lose $50 but then win $200 your total bankroll will now read $350 but you’ll only be able to withdraw $250. Most players will say “but I already used $50 of the bonus!”  This is where the fine print comes in… because according to the online casino, you’ve been playing with your deposit.  This is fair, it’s business, but it’s important for new players to understand how these things work so they don’t feel “cheated.”

The truth of the matter is that it’s a players responsibility to read the terms and conditions, as with anything else.  On this I have to say that I agree with the online casino companies. However, the terms are usually pages long and could put any sane person to sleep.  The good news is that there are tons of websites out there that explain thing just as they are, so do your reading, learn all you can and enjoy!
